Green screen / chroma key

My group have been looking at ways to project and film our drawings/samples onto models. The main problem that we have come across is that the projection hits the background aswell as the models. I have talked to our digital tutor today and she said that Green screen could work quite well. I think that if we can get the right software it could be really effective.
