Knit samples. Pushing chunky vs delicate knitting.

I have modeled my samples on someone to get a feel as to what they would look like as pieces of garments. (For example, a cuff or a shoulder sleeve.) The sample directly above didnt work as well as the others and the yarns used were too chunky. It works much better knitting the yarn in thinner strips as it makes the pattern more defined. This also works better using a thinner, smoother machine yarn. (see top left and right). These top samples were the most successful because of the contrast in chunky and delicate knit, but also because I have started to introduce some brighter colours to lift the knitting. I would like to push this futher.
