I began to look into different shapes that I could create in my knit samples. I didnt want the samples shape to be the main focus, but I wanted to create more interesting shapes within my sampling. To create these shapes I have mainly used the 'hold' technique, aswell as decreasing stitches.
I prefer this (left) shape to the others as it is more subtle and less distracting from the yarns and colours/textures that I am focusing on.
I have also started to combine hand knit with machine knit and I think that the contrast is really successful. I would like to look into this further.
