PERSONAL PROFILE

I have been greatly interested in Art from an early age and this has developed into a love of Textiles. I excelled at this in college and decided to take and Art Foundation course which I thoroughly enjoyed and was one of the top students in the year.

I am now studying Textiles at MMU where I am further developing my skills at drawing and embroidery and learning new skills with weave and machine knitting. Knit has become my passion and my tutor considers my samples to be very sophisticated and creative for a first year student. I plan to further develop these skills for both machine and hand knit and I intend to pursue this into a career.

-          Acton Bridge Pre-school helper 2008 – I was given the task to help manage the children and to invent creative ideas for the children’s art section. I thoroughly enjoyed working with both the children and adults for these two weeks and the experience helped me to build confidence in my creative ability.
