Summer project - Inspiration

Left: sea and sky pictures. LAYERS of colours and textures. Interesting tones and broken lines. Some soft colours, whilst others are block.

Fresco paintings: photos from a visit to pompeii. I found the old fresco paintings really interesting. I liked how they werent full paintings, just glimpses of what was last there and I really liked the COLOUR COMBINATIONS and PROPORTIONS used.

Sea shells: What mostly got my attention was the broken  FRAGMENTS of shells. I loved the variation of colours, some with obvious layers of colours, whilst some with a more subtle difference. I don't want to be distracted by the shape of the shells but focus on these wonderful colours. I feel that looking at broken parts of shells is a more interesting thing to look at.

After collecting all my images I have noticed a connection between them. In all, the colour and colour proportion plays an important role which is intersting as this will help me in my knit. TEXTURES are also important in these images and I need to keep this in mind whilst choosing my yarns and knit techniques.
